Summit Green Solutions installed Spray Foam Insulation in the Georgia Welcome Center. The Georgia Welcome Center needed a solution to eliminate thermal bridging in the attic. One perimeter wall of the attic is the interior side of the parapet wall of the roof. It already had a vapor barrier from the roof membrane, so Summit Green Solutions installed open cell spray foam insulation providing an air barrier and continuous insulation on the inside of the roof’s parapet wall eliminating thermal bridging. The other perimeter wall separates the attic from the porch attic surrounding the building. Summit Green Solutions installed closed cell spray foam insulation on this wall providing a vapor barrier in addition to an air barrier and continuous insulation eliminating thermal bridging. By using a combination of open and closed cell foam, Summit Green Solutions provided a viable solution for the building.
