Reducing the extreme heat in their attics from 120 to 150 degrees down into the 80s. Their HVAC systems can now keep up with the attic temperatures and create a much more comfortable living condition throughout the home. Eliminating the hot spots in the homes.

Summit Green Solutions has been installing spray foam insulation throughout the Augusta area this week from North Augusta to South Augusta to Summerville.  We have been moving our spray foam hoses through yards covered with flowering azealas and dogwoods.

One of the many  benefits of spray foam insulation is improving the indoor air quality by keeping out allergens and removing the old funky insulation from the floor of the attic.

In addition, once the attic rafters are sprayed with foam insulation, the ductwork will no longer be in extreme temperatures.  The temperature in the attic will be moderate – within 10 degrees of the living space below.  This moderate temperature allows the living space to stay comfortable year round.

When we bring the spray foam hose into a home, we protect the home with plastic.   Sometimes we can even bring the hose in through an attic window – we installed spray foam in a home on Anthony Road this week and brought the hose in through a small gable window in the attic.

Charming English Tudor

Summit Green Solutions installed open cell spray foam insulation in charming English Tudor on Lombardy Court.  The home is being renovated for a new family.

The homeowner wanted to improve the comfort and indoor air quality for his family while reducing his energy bills.   Open cell spray foam was applied to the steep rafters of the attic creating a large igloo cooler effect.

We sprayed Open Cell Spray Foam Insulation in a lovely Dutch Colonial home in Conifer.

We removed the old funky insulation off of the floor of the attic and sprayed Open Cell Spray Foam Insulation between the rafters turning the attic into a large igloo cooler. 

We also have sprayed the side attics of the home.  We eliminated the extreme heat that used to impact the master bedroom from the large side attic. 

The house also has a FROG – a Finished Room Over the Garage.  In addition to spraying the rafters in the side attics of the FROG, we also sprayed the floor to prevent any toxic fumes from penetrating from the garage below.

With the pollen season approaching, the Bad Air will no longer be seeping into the attics and the Good Air will be sealed in the house.

As the temperatures rise, the homeowner will be enjoying lower utility bills and improved comfort.
